Oh. Hello there. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m James Moore and I’m the business of being creative. I specialize in video production, editing and graphics, but I also like to create advertisements, layouts and design, write scripts and copy, and anything else that needs a little creative imagination. You want web videos? Done. You need product or talking heads in front of a green screen? No problem. Design, layout, and copy? Sure thing. Fantasy football trophy? That too. Whatever you’re looking for, if I can’t do it, I’ll find someone bigger and stronger to do it for me.

My philosophy is first and foremost, make sure the client is happy with the end project. Whatever it takes. But a close second is making sure I’m happy with the end project. I figure, if I can impress myself, or make myself laugh on a project, then I’ve done a good job and have a pretty good chance others will feel the same way.

I started out in advertising as a copywriter. After working for 5 years on some pretty high profile clients like Wal-Mart, Hallmark, Pizza Hut and various pet projects, writing everything from TV and radio scripts, print ads, web copy and bathroom graffitti, I decided to take my career in another direction. The world of video production. And for the past 10 years, I’ve trained as a Final Cut Pro editor while also honing my skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

When I’m not spending hours on end in front of my computer either on a Playback project or just learning a new trick through a tutorial, I work as part of a crew on commercial shoots in and around Kansas City doing Video Assist. After hundreds of shoot days, I know my way around a set, and what it takes to make it all happen. And I’ve got quite a rolodex full of great people to round out the equation when needed.

What it boils down to is I’ve got experience in all phases of creativity. Brainstorming. Concept. Ptich. Execution. Budget. And overall client satisfaction. Give me a call and see what Playback can do for you.
