5 OUT OF 5 DIRECTORS AGREE

My VTR package for film rocks.  To start with, it’s completely digital.  That means all takes are captured on an external hard drive for immediate playback.  Whether it’s a one, two, or twenty day shoot, all takes are catalogued and can be accessed at any time.  My rig is also 100% battery powered, so if you’re shooting in the middle of nowhere without a generator, it’s not a problem.  Speaking of the middle of nowhere, i'm based in Kansas City, but i'll hit the road and travel anywhere i'm needed.

Using Final Cut Pro as the core of my VTR set-up, I basically have a mobile non-linear editing suite.  And that opens the door to a ton of possibilities.  If you want to see if two shots work well together, it only takes a few clicks of the button.  Same goes for variable frame rates and keying blue and green screen.  In fact, one time I ramped up and compositied eight green screen shots in one sequence. Not to brag or anything
